Gary Jules - Mad World
Tabbed by: The_S [email protected]
The_S: This song is a cover of the original Tears for Fears - Mad World.
I heard it whilst watching a movie called Donnie Darko.
I have scoured the net and found no tabs for this song, so I
made one myself.
I am a classical guitarist, and have tabbed it in a classical
sort of style.
I have designed it so the guitarist plays both the rhythm and the
notes which Gary Jules sings.
The Chord names you will see at the top of the tab, are not the
actual chord names, because you will have a capo on 1st. They are
merely the chord formations you would take should you decide to
strum. (Em on the tab is actually Fm)
So basically, in playing this tab, pretend your capo isnt there.
Put a capo on 1st (2nd if you want to play the Tears for Fears version)
Tuning: EADGBE (standard)

the actual chord names for you to strum.
Fm G#
All around me are familiar faces
D# A#
Worn out places worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow no tomorrow
Fm A# Fm
And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad
A# Fm
The dreams in which Im dying are the best Ive ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles its a very very
Fm A# Fm A#
mad world mad world
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday happy birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me whats my lesson
Look right through me look right through me
And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which Im dying are the best Ive ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles its a very very
Mad world . . . world
Enlarge your world
