For the most part of the song, the distortion is a nitty-gritty dist., but it's not a whole lot of distortion. Experiment with your guitar tones/distortion to match as closely as you can with the song.
Also, if you listen closely, you can hear just a small bit of vibrato done on the 11's on the A string, and also the 4's on the A string in the two riffs EXCEPT FOR the very first note of the song, and maybe even the first note of the riff, I'm not sure. That can be your call.
Riff 1: / Play 1x / |/ Start repeating
e-----------------------|-------------------------|
B-----------------------|-------------------------|
G-----------------------|-------------------------|
D-11---13-13-13-13------|11~---13-13-13-13--------| Play 4x till the bass/drums enter
A------------------11-13|------------------11-13--|
E-----------------------|-------------------------|
Riff 2: /Play 1x|/ Start repeating, play 7x
e----------------|---------------------------|
B----------------|---------------------------|
G----------------|---------------------------|
D----------------|---------------------------|
A-4---6-6-6-6----|4~---6-6-6-6---------------|
E-------------4-6|-------------4-6-----------|
The last note on Riff 2 flows right into the verse
It is noticable that the guitar plays this part, also, because you can hear the bass is one octave lower, and is clean...this guitar riff is distorted.
Verse:
e--------------------------------------------------------------|
B--------------------------------------------------------------|
G--------------------------------------------------------------| Play as needed
D--------------------------------------------------------------|
A---------------------------------4-4-4-4-4--------------------|
E-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-----------4-6-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4|
Pre chorus: Sometimes played 1x, sometimes 2x
e--------------------------------------------|
B--------------------------------------------|
G-8-----10-----------------------------------|
D-8-----10-----------------------------------|
A-6-----8------------------------------------|
E--------------------------------------------|
I don't really know if the solo is done on guitar or not, but I don't think keyboard can make slides like that as fluently as guitar can, so I'm gonna go with guitar on this one. Sounds like a phaser set fast for the solo and pre-chorus both.
Solo:
e-----------------------------------------------------------|
B-----------------------------------------------------------|
G-----------------------------------------------------------|
D-------11~---8-11-10~---8-6h8p6----------------------------|
A-11-13--------------------------8-6-4-6-8-6~---------------|
E-----------------------------------------------------------|
e-----------------------------------------------------------|
B-1413-139-9/11-------------------------------------------|
G-----------------------------------------------------------|
D-1110-106-6/8---11---11/1511-13~------------------------|
A-----------------------------------------------------------|
E-----------------------------------------------------------|
| Play twice |
e-----------------------------------------------------------|
B-----------------------------------------------------------|
G-----------------------------------------------------------|
D-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8--8-6h8p6------------------|
A------------------------------------------8-6-4-6-8-6~-----|
E-----------------------------------------------------------|
Then flows pretty much directly into the pre-chorus,
which is played twice
Outro:
e--------------------------------------------|
B--------------------------------------------|
G-6------------------------------------------|
D-6---6------8-------------------------------|
A-4---6------8-------------------------------|
E-----4------6-------------------------------|
I've looked pretty thoroughly, and I've found that this is
probably the only guitar tab that's all/almost all correct,
that includes a solo. Enjoi.
