Dire Straits – Why Worry
from the Album Brothers in Arms
Tabbed by: Moritz Friedrich Fuerst, aka Moeramone

Tuning: Standard (EADGBE)

Chords used:

E - xx6454
B7 - x6444x
A - xx7655
B - xx4442
F# - xx4322
C#m7 - xx2424

This is one of the best Dire Straits songs, very emotional, great sound - just cool.

Ok, this is for 2 or more Guitars, lead guitar a bit jazz-style, the typical
knopfler-sound comes WITHOUT a pick.
for the rhythm guitar use an accoustic-guitar, maybe with steel strings.

Guitar 1 plays the Leads, Guitar 2 picks the Chords.
(I've also tabbed the Guitar 2 - picking out excactly but I'm not sure if it's
correct)

VERSE:
Rhythm Guitar (picking as above)
Lead Guitar plays some Fills (below)

E B7 E
Baby I see this world has made you sad

B7 E
Some people can be bad

A F# B C#m7 B
The things they do, the things they say But

E B7 E
baby I'll wipe away those bitter tears

B7 E
I'll chase away those restless fears

A F# B C#m7 B
That turn your blue skies into grey

***************************************************************************

CHORUS:
Rhythm Guitar (continue picking)
no Lead Guitar

    E A B E
Why worry, there should be laughter after the pain

A B E
There should be sunshine after rain

A B E
These things have always been the same

A B E
So why worry now

A B E
 Why worry now

Now Play the Guitar 2 picking riff as above

VERSE 2: Same as Verse 1

Baby when I get down I turn to you
And you make sense of what I do
I know it isn't hard to say
But baby just when this world seems mean and cold
Our love comes shining red and gold
And all the rest is by the way

Chorus as above.

There's an instrumental Ending, but there are 4 Guitars,
and it would be too long to explain here (I've not finished it yet).

ENJOY!
yours, moe
